In an impressive display of solidarity, more than 70 members of the Omaha, Nebraska community came together to support Stand for the Silent’s anti-bullying event held at Morton Magnet Middle School on Wednesday Oct. 29, 2014.
The keynote speaker at the event, Kirk Smalley, shared his passion for eliminating bullying behavior and the story of his young bullied son, Ty Field-Smalley. The sign that Kirk Smalley is holding up with his left hand is the sign for “love” in American Sign Language.
The national anti-bullying organization, Stand for the Silent, uses the sign to express solidarity with all of the victims of bullying.
The Nebraska based anti-bullying law firm of Inkelaar Law is a proud supporter of anti-bullying initiatives across America. The firm is involved in pursuing anti-bulling legislation as part of the firm’s representation of Frida De La Torre, a young victim of bullying behavior.
